  1. Hello, Sorry for replying in English. I believe I've updated the topic, saying that i've sold the bike. One of the major reasons for selling the bike was the chain noise. Changing the chain for a new factory one will not solve the issue. Maybe from another brand? I think some guys have tested that. Got a Tracer, much better Regards.
  2. Ciao ragazzi, A me spiace dire che ho venduto la moto . Vi auguro tutto il meglio e buona fortuna .
  3. Thanks TorqueMaster. Gioe, I don't know from what R6 model the kit comes from, sorry . Guys I'm thinking in replacing my 07 for a Mt09-Tracer, do you Know if tracer as this same issue? I'm looking at other bikes but this is the one that makes more sense to me right now. To be honest I travell alot with my girlfriend and 07 is becoming short for us. Thanks for any tips/adivce you can give me.
  4. Gioemacri, the R6 kit I've talked about above solved the noise issue on a XJ6.
  5. Eheheh. Nice one. What is the brand and model of that exhaust pipe? Grazie.
  6. Hi guys, So, I've spoke to the Engi directly and what he is asking is to do at least 5000km on this transmission KIT. My previous Transmission kit was replaced with 3000KM. He was sincere, saying that they need to have a working background and at least some Km's made, to allow the parts do cut in or even a more evident problem show up. He assured me that after this km's, they will act to solve the problem, but this procedure is truly needed so he can have a working base. The Transmission Kit will be sent to factory and if they have news they'll inform. He said that there are no references from Yamaha for this issue anywhere. I suspect this doesn't help at all. So, guys I appeal to you all with this issue, go to Yamaha dealers and make them report the issue back to central services. They will tell you it's normal noise as usual, yeah it's normal but you want them to claim warranty and ask Yamaha Engi's to investigate the issue. If you cant go to your dealer, send them a e-mail. For now it's all. I'll return if I have more news. Thank you. Grazie
  7. Hello Enrico, Yes Yamaha Engi is going to analyze my old transmission kit, and now my bike is running new - original -replacement kit that is noisy too. The thing is, I don't believe that yamaha will put a aftermarket transmission KIT that is not already used on one of they're bikes. For that reason I've suggested that they replace the Transmission Kit with one used in other yamaha bike. Let's just hope that they are willing to do this change. I'm glad to help, I also want this solved. If this thing is not solved I will probably sell the bike...
  8. Hello guys, Yamaha engineer is going to analyse the transmission KIT that was replaced to find the problem, meanwhile I'm asking directly to him if it is not possible to test a equivalent transmission kit, since the problem persists. At this moment it's the only option I see, that will tell us once for all if the problem is transmission kit or not. I also mentioned the topic where you have listed all the frame numbers of the bikes that have the noise. I cannot guarantee that Yamaha will look at them. When I have updates I'll post. Regards. Saluti
  9. Hello, No news from the yamaha engi. The mechanic at the dealer cant reach him. As soon as I have news I'll report.
  10. Hello guys, No news today from engi, will ask Monday. Parallel information: I talked with a person who had a XJ6 and is transmission kit was doing a metallic noise. (I have no clue if it is like our noise) They identified that there was a misalignment between front a rear sprocket, and also problem with o-rings (maybe due to misalignment). They swapped it with R6 transmission kit and problem solved.
  11. Hello Sgunt, I was with the feeling to that changing it would solve the issue. I said to the dealer mechanic that it would be good to ask the yamaha engi to allow us to change the transmission kit with another model. The problem could still reside in the transmission kit made for this bike. Will keep you all updated. Please feel free to translate my message in Italian. Grazie.
  12. Hello everyone. The parts arrived and I just came from the dealer. We have replaced front/rear sprockets and chain, with a new KIT. The result: The noise persists... I've just informed dealer with the issue, they will talk to yamaha engineer and tomorrow I'll ask for the reply. Let's see what will happen. Thanks.
  13. Hello, Dealer has the sprockets ready, but still waiting for the chain. They say normaly this things come in one packadge but this time are separate. Let's hope the chain arrives fast.
  14. Hello, Just want to do a quick update, I'am still waiting for the parts to come. I hope it is this week. Regards.
  15. Enrico, They said it will be the full kit - Chain + Sprockets. Lorenzo, Frame is Now the waiting part for the replacement parts. Thanks for your feedback.
  16. Hello all, I'm from Portugal and here people are also complaining about this issue and most of the yamaha dealers are saying to customers that is normal...you know, the usual. I also have the same problem with this chain noise that is driving me crasy. I've been for a couple of times in dealear trying to solve the issue and they say it's normal. I've also sent e-mail to Yamaha and they said for me to go to a dealer and check chain tension again. After that last mail from Yamaha i've decided to go to a diferent dealer. This time, they said to me that a alot of people are complaining about this noise. They've confirmed my chain tension and called Yamaha Engineer to ask if they could change transmission kit under warranty. The reply was OK you can change it under warranty. At this momment I'm waiting for the parts to come. I'll keep this topic updated as soon as I have some news, I just hope it is good news. Anyone already changed they'r transmission kits? Thanks.
