  2. The prices that I gave from the S4R are copy&pasted from an email that Tesio sent me time ago. The price of the MT-0S kit in Yamaha Shops was 1200€ (a friend of mine has the ticket). The kit that Tesio would produce not be only a short serie just for us, he could continue selling it later to new orders from MT users, but obviously I supose that he will only accept the job if he will be sure that he will not loose money, so we will have to show him that several of us are really interested and perhaps we will have to give a part of the final price of the kit in advance, but I don´t know, everything I´m saying is just my imagination: we´ll have more details when we will contact with him if some of us are finally interested. I will not propose the job if only I am interested because it will not go on for sure. I don´t know were exactly his studio is placed, we will know when we will contact him.

It´s not for sale. A german friend made it specially for me. Only 2 units were produced (his and mine).
  4. Hi Lorenzo, I think very closed to you about the MT-01... Because of this, my idea will be a body kit that continue keeping the DNA of the MT-01 even a bit more radical... anyway, first step would be as you said to contact with Paolo Tesio and explain the plan if there are more people interested than just only myself... and would be a must that some italian user would help him with his own MT-01 as work model. Regarding the prices. I can tell you the price of the body kit for the Monster: The kit S4R by TEX is available and includes: 1 - PAIR OF COVER-FORK with its mounting brackets. Installation instructions (successicamente sent by mail) 1 - BACK SEAT + undertail and taillight specific. Installation instructions (successicamente sent by mail) The bodies are fiberglass blanks (to paint), and can also be bought separately. prices: kit FORK OUTER = 390.00 euros kit BACK SEAT = 440.00 euros The complete kit (cover + tail) will be sold at the special price of 750.00 euros Prices are inclusive of VAT. I think that having a full body kit that updates your entire bike for 750€ is a really good price (0S fairing kit was 1200€, and the mono seat kit was 600€ if you remember). Even you could buy only the parts that you are interested in...
  5. Hi guys, I would like to propose you something big that could provide us with a before' and an after' in the history of the Yamaha MT-01. The production of our bike was stopped and no MT-01 real replacement model has been made. It´s good for us in order than our model is and will be a modern classic bike. But some of us are trying to update the looking of our bike: cutting and rebuilding the rear subframe to get a more modern proportions, shorter exhausts, headlight replacement, colours change, rims change, etc, etc... So, what about if we could order a body kit that could get a deep restyling to our bikes updating them just like if they were the new MT-01 that Yamaha never produced again? If this aesthethic changes could even be 100% reversible if one day we wanted to have our bike like stock (or pass the legal inspection)? If you could be interested... continue reading... Perhaps some of you already know about an italian transportation designer called Paolo Tesio... perhaps you didn´t know his name but you already saw some of his works, like his Ducati Monster S4R/S2R body kits, his Yamaha R6'02 restyling, or his last Buell XB body kit (work in progress). His websites: http://www.texmotorbike.com/start.html http://www.bellissimoto.com/PaoloTex.html http://www.pictaram.com/user/paolo.tex/2122518209 As professional transportation designer that I am, I have to say that his work is amazing. He has a really special talent for motorbikes and even some brands could be inspired by his designs in my opinion. Once I wrote him congratulating his projects and kidding about when he will make some body kit for our loved Yamaha MT-01, because I´d buy for sure. Obviously he didn´t have in mind our bike in this moment, but he recognized that it´s a very good starting base.. he´s not a factory and I supose he works on bikes that he could have available (from a client for example) to get a digital scan and also to work and test on it physically. I can tell you that if I was closer to him, I would propose him seriously to build a body kit for the MT-01 and let him work over my bike, but I´m a bit far away. Now that I follow your Italian Forum and I must say that it´s the reference to follow for me at the moment regarding our MT-01... perhaps some of you would be interested also in this idea to get a stuning body kit for our MT-01... I mean, a body kit that would syntetize our comun tendences that seems that most of us like. I think that we can do a wishlist with all of us seriously interested in a body kit made by him for our bike in order to make a proposal to Paolo Tesio to design and produce it. I think that in case that he would be interested, someone should help with his own bike as model at least to scan it digitally. Our bike is an impressive base to develop an amazing body kit... What do you say? IMPORTANT: To join the wishlist does not mean to pay any money at all for any order or booking, it's only to know how many people would be interested. BODY KIT INTERESTED USERS : 1. Yesterday this package appeared in my garage... It seems that it was a last one Xmas gift...
  7. Hi guys, Congratulations for your customization, good job! As you know, I'm a fan of short subframes on MT-01 (well done of course). I absolutely think that one of the best mods to make in the Mt-01 is to cut and rebuild the rear subframe. It gives a really stuning looking and much more modern proportions to the bike. Also this short pipes are a very good choice. I think that the best place for the exhausts is at the tail height, it's just part of the DNA of the 01. The customizations which moved them in a lower position always look a bit strange, in my opinion, because its tail and proportions were designed for a higher exhaust couple. If the exhausts are conical, even more MT DNA. So this Dam works perfectly! Regarding the headlamp, I recognize that I was long time tempted to change the stock one for a MT-03 headlamp... I think that it's the best choice to replace the stock one and it's still a MT component (I think that use components from another bike maker brand should be forbiden, hahaha)... but, finally I thought that the stock one is the most iconical and unique and 100% MT-01 DNA. Also the great success of the cool design of the MT-03 has made it a bit generalist because it's being used in a lot of customizations and even in other brands (some electric bikes for example, like the Zero). But anyway, I really love this headlamp and how it works in our bike if it's used clever: in the right position makes the front of the bike lower and shorter what matches perfectly with the short tail. Congrats mate! Here you can see the last bike in movement: https://www.youtube.com/shared?ci=-C1HJamVNi4
  8. Hi mates, I need your help, specially from the people who has Marchesini wheels on their MT-01. I recently bought a Marchesini M10RS Kompe (forged aluminium). Their product codes are: TA71259/TA72337. The wheels are awesome and stunning and I'm whishing to see my bike with this cool new shoes. They're valid for: YZF R6 2003-2009 YZF R1 2004-2009 FZ1 2005-2009 They were mounted in a 2007 R1 but are really like new with absolutely no scratches... The price was pretty good and the seller told me that Marchesini wheels are standard and only the components for sprocket/rotor carriers/etc are different between two bikes with same wheel sizes and you can order this parts separately to Marchesini. So I thought the wheels would fit essy in my MT-01... Even I didn't notice that it's rotor brake carriers has only 5 bolt holes and we need 6... I discovered it when the Marchesini wheels were already in my garage. I told the seller, who has a positive attitude and is trying to find a solution. He's proposing to change mi brake discs for R1 ones, but I think that they wouldn't fit the MT-01 calipers... Making an internet research (a bit too late, I know) I found this Marchesini model than seems that fits Yamaha MT-01: Marchesini M10S Kompe Evo (MA808.808WC), and I could see that it has the right 6 bolts rotor carrier for example: http://www.japan-webike.it/ps/#!p.b=415&p.m=945&p.c=1311&p.sk=1 I wrote several emails to Marchesini and V2motorsport (its dealer in Spain) asking about if I can order separately the right components to make the wheels dit my bike (spacers, bearings or/and rotor carriers, etc.) but for the moment I've got no response... Honestly, I'm a little bit disappointed and I don't know what to do. I have a set of wheels at home as cool as useless and no idea about how to make them work. I took a look to several of you guys who have Marchesini wheels in your MT-01 and I really need your help to know how you got it: What I need to do/buy to make in order to make this damn wheels work in my MT-01?

(MT-01) Carbon Airbox Cover (OEM), NEW

Hi guys! I have for sale a Carbon fiber airbox cover. It´s completely new and never used. It´s not a replica, it´s an original Yamaha MT Component. Price 150€ plus shipping (from Barcelona, Spain). Cheers folks!!!
  14. The result can be pretty cool Max! But I honestly think that the stock speedometer doesn´t match very well with this headlight... Maybe a micro one from Motogadget could look better... but install it can be a pain in the ass... ----- Il risultato può essere molto figo, Max! Però onestamente penso che il tachimetro originale non si abbini molto bene con quel faro... magari uno più piccolo dalla Motogadget potrebbe risultare più bello... ma una vera grana da installare...

Cool bike mate! And even cooler angel eyes customization... I´d love to get something like this! Man, can you post some tutorial or making of??? It would be great. Lorenzo also made an awesome angel eyes modification and he explained how to get it step by step... but it really seems a pain in the ass...

  17. I see that some parts of your risers are rusted. Take a look here if you want to get them in good condition again: http://www.mt-series.it/index.php/topic/9175-mt-01-homemade-trick-to-restore-rusted-parts/
  18. An easy and effective homemade trick to restore rusted parts: 1. Immerse the rusted part (or the entire part, it will not be damaged) in a bowl with vinegar for 24 hours. 2. After 24 hours into the vinegar, the chemical reaction will be done and almost all the rust will have become black in color and will be off from the metal. To remove the still remaining traces, rub them with aluminium foil just like you would be using waterproof sandpaper mode, but using vinegar. 3. Miracle done!
